February 2006 and here I am with a post. I really must make more of an effort to put my thoughts down in here.
I've missed blogging my time at a place called The Training Camp where I earned an MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) and an MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician), getting a job in desktop support at CSC (Computer Science Corporation), and then moving to a new position in Content Management which isn't as stressful as being on the phones. I've met lots of people and made some good new friends there.
On the writing front there has been an unusual set of circumstances which has led to the first reprinting of one of my stories. I originally submitted, then withdrew PIN THE DEVIL from Black Death Books, leaving a story called CAMERA MAN for their consideration. I queried the status of the submission last week and Rob at Black Death said they would very much like to include PIN THE DEVIL in the next volume of their yearly anthology The Blackest Death. I thought I'd lost out on this credit because many publishers like the stories be previously unpublished. But after exchanging a few emails and ensuring that the rights have reverted back to me Black Death would like to reprint the story in The Blackest Death Vol III which is to be published later this year.
With this success my muse seems to have come back online. I've worked two short stories, one called DEAD PETALS and the other called THUMB and have completed a couple of drafts of a zombie story entitled DARKNESS FALLS. I'm also planning on taking another tour down the path of THE DARK DESTINY to see how it reads, continue with the second novel I've started work on and start doing some proper outlining for GUARDIANS OF NIGHTMARE, a project which I may, or may not try to work up into a TV series.
So I have enough writing work to be going on with for now I think. Now if only I can keep at the keyboard and get some work done.....
Best
